The Christ Embassy award winning best dancer for the year 2016, BenDancer whose names are BENJAMIN DANIEL GABRIEL. He is one of Nigeria fast rising star. Ben dancer has  shared stage with M.I, YCEE, ICE PRINCE, CLASSIQ, BOC, early this year January he launched his dance academy  (BENDANCER ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL) the 8th of March 2020..... in an Exclusive Online Interview with TAPZPRO he unleashed his plans, ,experience about how he started the journey sofar, and what made him have interest in dancing.

Can we know little about you ?


My names are BENJAMIN DANIEL GABRIEL am a  dance Instructor, Fitness Coaching and The Founder of BENDANDER ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL.The first child born into the family of four. Also a member of dance guild of Nigeria (GOND), Worked with several dance company in Nigeria & international. Presently Northwest Zonal dance Co- od fit dance guild of Nigeria



 What is your training and background in dance?


My training background in dance is Contemporary, hip hop, Urban Afro pop and Cultural.



 Can you choreograph any type of dance or does it have to be something you like?
 I can choreograph a song without music a lot of times.... Cos I don't follow the music but rythme.


 Tells us about your academy and what's so special about it ?

My academy is the first of it kind in the northeast , created to promote and coach young people in different genres of dance and  create platforms for them to exhibit their God given talents.


 Was there any person that had great impact on your decision to become a choreographer ?
To me I see Kachi AKA C.E.O masterpiece , cos of his high level of creativity in the industry.


 How is dance gaining movements in the northern state

To be honest dance is not regconised in this part of Nigeria, so we really striving... So we calling the attention of both government and private sectors to look into the venture to meet up to global standard


 What's should your fans be expecting from you before this year ends ?
My fans should be expecting nothing rather than the best...cos as time going on , am fast improving to bring fire to the industry with new dance styles and different collaboration from top dance gurus both national and international.


 Aside from dancing in what do you do ?


Aside dancing, I do dance consulting for other dance companies and fitness centers, Animal farming, Fitness instruction, modeling,   and other business.



 Is their any governmental bodies that is in support of your academy ?

At the moment there is no government or private sector sponsoring me at the moment , but I believe soon in the nearest future.



 We have alot of professional dance instructor whose brand are not registered, and still feel comfortable doing with it, and is yours registered and how did you go about it ?


 My dance company is registered with the Cooperate Affairs commission, C.A.C, is a very good thing to do, which gives you more legal ground to operate as a dancer,  and a good citizen of the country to develop cultural and promote peace and tourism in the society and world at large.



 How would you describe what you do ?


 I describe what I do as a God given talent and service to God and humanity, a means to express emotions and feelings , such as pain, joy , happiness, sorrow, and many more...I pass messages through dance.



 Is there any dancer/artist you've share stage with it team up with ?


I also worked with different dance company in Nigeria, JIVE ANGELS base in Abraka Delta state, OXYGEN ACADEMY, Yola, D ANGELZ DANCE MINISTRY JOS, AND CREATIVE MINDZ, GOMBE STATE, AND C.E.O MASTERPIECE LAGOS... I have worked different artist like, M.I, ICE PRINCE, CLASSIQ, BLAQBONEZ, YCEE, CLASSIQ, BOC AND NT4 GHANA , to mention but a few.



Can you tell us what your academy does ?


The dance company is registered under COMPANIES AND ALLIED ACT 1990, pursuant to section 659 of the cooperate affairs commission, on 7th day of January 2020, launched on the 8th of march 2020.




What are your achievement so far in the dance industry ? Any award won ?



Awards, Christ Embassy award best dancer of the year, 2016, best choreographer by national council of art and culture 2018, and other multiple awards.
