The 2024 MISSION HIGH SCHOOL Inter-house Sports Competition kicked off today Wednesday, 28th February 2024, at the MHS School play ground, Rayfield, Jos.

It was an activity-filled day. The air of excitement was eminent as the students were in high spirits and full of expectations.

Sports is an essential part of our school’s co-curricular activities. It caters for the physical well-being of the students. Through the various sporting activities in the school, many of our students have discovered their passion and talent.

It was an opportunity for our students to showcase their talents and skills in various sporting activities.

The Administrator presented by, Mr. Pankyes, in his welcome address, highlighted some of the importance of sports for students:

•  Sport helps to achieve discipline.

•  It fosters respect and friendship.

•  It encourages resilience and teamwork.

• It is a strong uniting force that binds people together irrespective of religion or ethnicity.


In every competition, there must be a winner. At the end of the event,

Integrity (Purple House) came First, Contentment (Blue House) came Second, Love (Red House) came Third while Humility (Green House) came Fourth.

Contentment (Blue House) came First,  Humility (Green House) came Second, Love (Red House) came Third Integrity (Purple House) came Fourth.

Volley Ball Result (Categories)

Contentment (Blue House) came First with 3wins,  Integrity (Purple House) came Second with 2wins., Love (Red House) came Third with 1win, Humility (Green House) came Fourth with Zero win.

Chess (Categories)

Love (Red House) came First with 10 points, Humility (Green House) came Second with 8 points, Contentment (Blue House) came Third with 6 Points, Integrity (Purple House) came Fourth with 4 points.




Scrabble (Categories)

Humility (Green House) came First with 10 points, Integrity (Purple House) came Second with 8 points, Love (Red House) came Third with 6 points, Contentment (Blue House) came Third with 4 Points.

As the competition still continues, we hope to see houses display their performances and creative strategic mental prowess.
